WANT TO MEET NEW PEOPLE IN NEW PLACES AND BE NEW
I'm new to CS and am very excited to start traveling and meeting new people. My name is Jesse. I'm 23, a year out of college, and more lost than I've ever been. I worked in an accounting department in Boston for a year, saved up some money, and got out. Eventually I want to go back to school to earn a PhD and become a professor, but meanwhile my plan is to explore and discover more about myself and decide what I'd like to devote years of study to. Human beings fascinate me (see: Soc major), and I have only met but a few of them. While I cannot escape my own mind, I can come close, and the best feelings for me are of compassion and love for others. Oh, and I love making jokes! I was in an improv comedy group in college, which basically meant weirdos getting together and laughing at each other--my favorite :p
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing because I want to broaden my horizons. I want to travel across the US and get to know my own country a bit more than what my amazing yet bubble-world college experience gave to me. I'd like to open up my heart and mind and let it all flow in.
I can't host right now because of transitional living situations, but when I do have stable housing I plan on hosting because I think it'd be dope.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'm not sure I've done anything amazing yet. Not that I haven't accomplished things, but most of what I've been doing so far is observing and growing up and trying to understand the world. I do not expect that to stop with age, but I do expect to get a better grasp on what I find to be meaningful and important. I will do something amazing after I understand what I could do that would be amazing. When I have a child, that will be amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you: how to play chess, how to do improvisational comedy, about the history of the Israeli/Palestinian Conflict, how to drive a car, and how to let go and dance like a weirdo beardo.
I want to learn: About how people live, what they do, what jobs they work, what they think about all day, what they eat, why they do or do not want to have children, how to cook more things, how to play the guitar or piano (I've tried piano lessons a few times), how to speak a different language. Also I would love to visit and work on a farm and learn about what living on a farm is like. I am set up to WWOOF next week and then hopefully later in the Fall as well.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I will share whatever I can, and enjoy adapting to new people and places. I am very neat and mindful of being in other people's spaces. I am ready and willing to contribute to any housework that needs to be done, from laundry to cooking to cleaning to dishes. This seems fair to me :)
