CURRENT MISSION Eudaimonia ABOUT ME If you meet me you will realize that I am extremely outgoing, kind of quirky and always ready to learn. I will be starting a Phd program this fall at UIC. I am super excited to enter the world of academia! While completing my undergrad, I was a teachers assistant in a special education classroom for four years. I love working with kids, especially children with special needs. I am heavily involved with IMPACT Chicago, which is a non-for profit that is committed to ending violence and building a non-violent world in which all people can live safely and with dignity. Basically it is a feminist self-defense class. I have a good sense of humor although I am not funny (even though I try to be :) ). I enjoy going out- checking out what different cities have to offer and meeting new people. I try to avoid touristy places. I would much rather experience the culture and hang out with locals. I am really interested in studying social movements and I would consider myself an activist. PHILOSOPHY Live and let live...and learn along the way
