About Me
Wildlife Technician diplomee, working in a beautiful Natural Park on the North-Shore of Quebec, Canada!
I got lost so many times trying to find my place. Travelling in my own (big) country, hosting friends and visitors… I now own my house, enjoy walks on the beach, work in a beautiful natural park and like to travel from time to time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I hope to meet people, discover something new, and I really enjoy helping travelers fall in love with my country, my province, my town, etc.
It also looks like a really great opportunity to meet people, have a talk, learn about the city and learn from the host! Everyone has something to share. More than a bed or a room, a simple welcome could become a memory for a lifetime!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Allowed myself to give up, and try again.
Teach, Learn, Share
One of the thing I like to do is learn expressions from other languages. I’m looking for words you can NOT translate! Feels like magic! Here is my collection :
ℹ️ Coup de tête : French. Taking a spontaneous decision out of impulsivity.
ℹ️ Tourner autour du pot : French. When you hide something and try to talk about a subject without telling « it ». Taking too much time to explain/talk before telling something.
ℹ️ Schadenfreude : German. Being happy about a loving one's misery. (Or, when you laugh because your friend hit his head or fell.)
ℹ️ Fernweh : German. The desire to be far from your home. Wanting to be far away. (And you guys probably always have this feeling)
ℹ️ Vorführeffekt : German. When you want to show something to someone and then it doesn’t work!
ℹ️ Hygge : Danish. The feeling of having a good time / having a warm or cozy feeling. « Here, it is hygge »
ℹ️ Saudades : Italian. It means more or less « I miss you » but stronger. It can also mean to be nostalgic from someone or something. « I have saudades of you »
ℹ️ Cazzimma. Italian. A characteristics that belongs to a person. He/she has to be full of strength and a way of positive thinking that will help he/she to pursue his/her purposes. « She is cazzima »
ℹ️ Meraki. Italian. Doing something with devotion, enthousiasm, enjoying what you are doing.
ℹ️ Safadinha. Portuguese. Teasing, playful, being when someone is a bit cheeky but heartbreaker.
ℹ️ Casa de Herrero Asadon de palo. Spanish. It is when you work at something, in a certain domain, but your house does not looks like you work in it. Example: an ugly/messy interior’s designer house.
ℹ️ Gezellig. Dutch. “Coziness”. Expresses a certain pleasant circumstance or feeling a form of coziness, friendliness, homeliness, familiarity, quaintness.
I would love to share music, stories, books. It would be a pleasure to cook delicious meals with you... even if we fail our recipe. We could even make art! Let's give it a try would you?
What I Can Share with Hosts
- a delicious (probably vegetarian) meal
- a wonderful time playing lots of boardgames and card games
- exchanging about our culture, languages and more
- helping with chores or projects!
- would love to get to know your town with your help, maybe take a walk with you or anything else!
Also, I do live outside of the nearest town. So if you need a lift, it would be my pleasure.
