About Me

CURRENT MISSION
I'm studying Reproductive & Sexual Health Research in order to work in health development in the future. I'm also involved in climate justice activism. Sounds a bit heavy doesn't it? Don't worry, I love a good laugh and don't take myself too seriously!

ABOUT ME
I live in London most of the time but it's good to get away when I can! I like slow travel (so mainly trains and coaches), getting to know a bit more about a place and its people, and learning some of the language. I've been an au pair in Italy, a teacher in France, and a bit of a nomad in Japan.

PHILOSOPHY

I value simplicity, community and creativity. Trying to live a low-waste, low-emissions life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To get more out of life, not stay stuck in my comfort zone! I love meeting people and seeking out life's adventures.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like a lot of music and it depends how I feel - sometimes I'm in the mood for hip hop, sometimes folk or soul. London is a great place for live music (and often free live music) and so I keep an open mind about different genres. Favourite book is Katherine by Anya Seton, but a really interesting non-fiction book I've just finished reading is 'Sapiens' by Yuval Noah Harari. I thoroughly recommend it!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The whole 2 months I spent backpacking around Japan was pretty amazing, but as a single moment, seeing the Northern Lights from an aeroplane was unforgettable

What I Can Share with Hosts

Language practice if English isn't your mother tongue, I can cook, I have a lot of stories to tell and I am an easy, tidy guest to host :) If you like music, let's have a jam!
