À propos de moi

Hello :)

I'm a total bookworm, since the day I could read... or so I've been told. I like different experiences. And by that, I mean I like to try new things, even it's out of character.

Sometimes I do freelance design and photography gigs.

Though I can't do milk, I love trying out new foods and drinks.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

My friend dragged me to... some kind of weird convention thing, where the speaker mentioned this website.
I'm usually couch-surfing on friends' couches when I travel, or do hostels, so I thought this might be fun to try out and meet new people!

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I enjoy listening to blues and lo-fi. But I like a lot of things.

My favorite books: John Dies at the End, The Fountainhead, The Ice Queen, and Puerto Vallarta Squeeze.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Once, I was in Ireland. I had just traveled from the north back down to the south, Belfast to Dublin. Getting off the bus, someone stole my wallet. I had an Airbnb and my passport but I still needed to get to my host. So, I walked to a taxi driver and explained myself. As I did, I put my hand in my pocket to discover I had 7£. Not the right currency. I asked if he would accept that as payment.

The gentleman accepted with a smile, saying a young girl like me shouldn't be stranded alone at night like that. He was 77 and complained about how often he had to go back to renew his license because of it. Once we got there, he had me wait in the car while he assured my safety, despite it looking like a safe neighborhood. He then helped me with my luggage to the door and made sure I got in before driving away.

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

I can teach some photography stuff, like using the caffenol process to develop 35mm film or some DSLR techniques.
