About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learn, grow, discover, enjoy life.

ABOUT ME

I love food, pleasant conversation over a beer, exploring, and dancing to house music!

I grew up in China until I was 5, then spent the rest of my childhood in Los Angeles, later attendeding university in the San Francisco Bay Area. Have been back to China many times.

Just graduated, and am now spending a few months exploring and trying to see as much of the world before my life settles down and I join the workforce.

Also I love hiking! (anything outdoors really...)

PHILOSOPHY

I try to live simply and frugally. I have a humanistic outlook on life, and feel that most humans are good people if you give them a chance.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've been hosted, but unfortunately cannot host anyone currently :(

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Had a great time with a host in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. I've also met up with some couchsurfing peeps for a backpacking trip through the Bale mountains in Ethiopia.

Also good times in Germany.

Interests

I enjoy hiking, bike riding, eating, talking about anything, videogames, exercising. When travelling I like to visit national parks, nature reserves, and other natural areas. Currently I'm learning how to program!

Music, Movies, and Books

I LOVE movies, especially sci-fi. My faves are Blade Runner, Children of Men, Drive, The Room, Leon the Professional, Brazil, and others that I can't think of at the moment.
I'm currently getting through Mad Men.

In terms of books, I'm currently reading "Blood Meridian". It's a good book but damn does it make you depressed while reading it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent a night at the rim of the Erta Ale volcano in Ethiopia. In retrospect, probably not the safest thing to do.

Spent 12 hours backpacking up a mountain in China after getting lost (it was supposed to take 2 hours).

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Cambodia, China, Czech Republic, Ethiopia, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Laos, Mexico, Morocco, Myanmar, Nepal, Netherlands, Romania, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In

China, United States
