My mission right now is to get to every continent.. 1 more to go! Beyond that, it is to get out and experience the world as much as I can while making new friends.

ABOUT ME

I am in my 30's and I live in Houston, Texas..originally from California but went to college in the midwest and lived in Chicago. I have been to just under 40 countries on 6 continents and hoping to get to 45 by the end of the year.. I absolutely love meeting new people that are either from the locations I visit or traveling themselves. I am very easy going and get along with everyone.
I have made so many friends on my travels and I feel like that one of the best parts of traveling. It is the best learning experience.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have very little couchsurfing experience, but I hope to change that soon. I used it once in 2014 and had a wonderful experience but most of my traveling since then has been last minute, and I didn't want to burden anyone with a last minute request. I usually do the hostel route specifically to meet new people, but really want to get more into this site because I love the mission behind it, meeting new people, and learning about different cultures. Since I am actually planning my Europe trip in advance this time, I figured it was a perfect opportunity to come back to this site to meet some new people, exchange stories, and make new friends.

I know sometimes it's hard trusting someone that is new or hasn't used the site much..and it's actually why I didn't join earlier. I just figured I would go with the tried-and-true method of staying at hostels..but I have heard such good things from my friends who use this site. I can give you my facebook page to look at with many more pictures of my travels, friends, etc. or we can talk on the phone first or skype - whatever will make you feel more comfortable.

Interests

Exploring the world, learning about new cultures, eating new food, adrenaline rush type activities, water sports..I can really have fun doing just about anything. I am not big into partying but I don't mind going out in a new city and trying the local drink. I love to get out and explore.. I'm not a sit-on-the-beach-all-day type of person.. I'm more the type that likes to keep busy. I love anything with an adrenaline-rush - zipling, sky diving, would love to try shark diving.. I love immersing myself in culture, whatever that means for the location that I'm in.
