ABOUT ME

I am a retired psychology teacher. I spent 32 years educating high school seniors (l8) ....soI have no interest in any more formal education! I have always enjoyed traveling and like to tell everyone that I was the one to introduce my son to couchsurfering.

I simply like giggles and laughter.

Por que estou no Couchsurfing?

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I mostly find couchsurfers who live in places I am traveling/visiting. I ask about the local tennis courts and local players. I reward them with a coffee or beer as a thank your for sharing their knowledge.

I recently hosted a women from Australia for one week....it was a good experience so will be considering more hosting experiences.

Interesses

I enjoy sleeping late, finding a great cup of coffee, playing or watching some tennis, and discovering some new food, finished off with a beer. End my day and repeat again the next day.

My son plays in a band....so I listen to his CD's.
His band is the Muteflutes out of Grand Rapids, Michigan
My favorite movie/play is Shirley Valentine.
My favorite author is Bill Bryson

My youngest son, Luke McLaughlin has filmed an episode of "Naked and Afraid".
His episode is called "Primal Fear". Check it out on youtube.

Uma Coisa Incrível que Eu Fiz

I spent a day on the wrong side of the Berlin Wall (East side) and when I tried to come back to the West I was detained for hours and hours. My Mom had requested me not to try this adventure into East Berlin......and I had lots of time to consider how right and smart she was!

I say the film and play....Shirley Valentine and loved the message. I organized four women and myself to go to Greece that summer and recreate some of the sceens!

I also wanted to go to Wimbledon. I managed to make it to the great tennis event in l988. I have now been to the event over l8 times....never get tired of England, green grass, and tennis balls bouncing.
