Me and my girlfriend Flora are nature-lovers and have a countryside house in Southwestern France with lots of wild birds! In July we are travelling to British Columbia, where I have lived before. I've missed its forests so much, and would love for Flora to discover this beautiful region. She has lived in Australia and New Zealand but has yet to discover the Pacific West. We also both like to paint and sing (I write songs), I like playing board/card games, Flora is really into organic gardening.

We are both calm and relaxed, very respectful and glad to help if needed. We are used to hosting people as we manage a course venue with yoga classes, board game nights, sound healing sessions, dance and music workshops... A lot of work, and fun!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My favourite way of travelling is meeting people! It would be so nice to stay with local couchsurfers, it's always much more interesting than just following tourist routes and guides. I've really liked hosting travellers when I lived on Vancouver Island back in 2015.

Music, Movies, and Books

I often say my favourite band is Radiohead. I enjoy many singer-songwriters (Alela Diane, Tiny Ruins, Big Thief...), some indie rock and a bit of electronic/dub music. I'm also a big fan of kora music, a traditional African harp. I love classical and jazz too, can't list everything here!

For movies and shows, I love mind-bending sci-fi with philosophical implications. I also adore surrealist comedies, and a lot of British stuff. For reading, I'm more into non-fiction (nature, consciousness...).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have loved living a year and a half in Vancouver, with its lush nature all around, and kind people I've met. Appart from that, I have to say that my most profound journeys were inner journeys, for 10 years of my life I was really into shamanism (I feel a spiritual connection to wild animals) and it's been a great adventure; I don't practice as much now but it has changed my life.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to visit wild places, for hiking, swimming, SUPing, observing plants and animals, or just contemplating the beauty of it all. I can cook French dishes too, I love playing games, helping out, or just having long conversations about life and experiences!
