CURRENT MISSION

To live, work and breathe Paris in order to learn French and pose as a writer in the vein of my 20's heroes.

ABOUT ME

Hard to summarise myself in such a short space but I guess that I'm an open, social person who never has any difficulty fitting into new social circles nor offering up my opinions on everything! I have strong passions but of course respect others (unless they're just plain nonsense.) I guess I'm also very British, full of manners and etiquette and dreams of Albion. I love music just a bit more than I love literature and my favourite music is mostly English, though I'm open to occasionally American acts and the odd band from Australia. I also write fictional works, literature I hope but just plain fiction I fear.

PHILOSOPHY

Quite a cynic unfortunately and have a strong dislike for both arrogant people and those drowned in pretension. A pessimist whose outlook on live somehow remains positive. Aware of my existence and what it means to me. In other words anxious to enjoy and enrich my life, to do new things and take risks.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Will offer my couch when I get back from travelling (and have a couch that is.) Once had two Canadians living on my living room floor for 8 months, they just wouldn't leave!! (or wash!) Have surfed accross Western Europe and look forward to hosting!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed in Bulgaria, where I broke my surfing cherry with the best possible host. Also surfed in Italy, France, Spain and Portugal. Met couchsurfers all over and always find them to be some of the nicest people I've met.

Music, Movies, and Books

My music taste revolves mainly around what England produces with occasional florishs US music. As far as books go I often travel light purely so I can collect books as I go!! I love classical literature most of all.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Can't even begin... Guess living in USA when I was a kid was cool, so was traveling it at a young age. Moving to Australia from a tiny UK village and going to a super posh high school in Sydney was certainly pretty good. Travelling and writing around Eastern Europe was a defining moment captured upon paper. Finishing my first novel, then my second and beginning my third. Having the best couch surfing experience in Bulgaria. Moving to Paris...

I guess I'm a teacher so all I do is teach, learn and share. Invite me into your home and I'll give you a few free lessons in whatever you want. (Just not maths, didn't become a history teacher because I'm good at maths)
