About Me
Translate with / traduire avec / traducir con: https://www.deepl.com/
I fell in love with France during a long-term travel adventure in Europe, and CouchSurfing helped me to explore new places without breaking the bank. Now I just enjoy meeting people and occasionally surfing when I get to travel :-)
I'm a writer (ask me about my book on balanced living!) and a program coordinator for a nonprofit project in Paris, and I also do freelance communication and storytelling work, as well as hosting language exchange events and occasionally teaching yoga. I just can't seem to make up my mind about a single career, so I've carved out ways to do a bunch.
I love learning, exploring, and trying new things. I'm big on the outdoors (rock climbing, hiking, biking, etc.) and yoga. Let's make interesting conversation and and have a good time!
LOOKING FOR A PLACE TO STAY IN PARIS? If CS doesn't work out (locals are inundated with requests since it's such a tourist hotspot), try these:
-https://www.hostelworld.com/hostels/ for short-term stays in Paris
-https://www.workaway.info/ for more long-term work exchange opportunities (everywhere in France and all over the world).
-https://www.trustedhousesitters.com/ to stay in the homes of locals & care for their animals while they're away
Happy adventuring!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Spent 6 months travelling through Europe through a combination of work exchange, WWOOFing, CouchSurfing, staying in hostels, living in a castle, housesitting & farmsitting, and just making friends along the way. You'd be surprised just how quickly the path unfolds before you once you set the first steps in motion (for me, that was buying a 1-way ticket to Ireland ;-) )
Also stayed in an abandoned, haunted hostel followed by a breakfast of beach-harvested snails (periwinkles) in rural Ireland.
You can't make this stuff up.
Teach, Learn, Share
Writing. Yoga. Permaculture principles.
I would be happy to talk yoga and maybe lead a mini session with hosts and/or visitors. Namaste! ॐ
I want to learn: surfing, waterskiing, windsurfing, hang-gliding, piano and/or guitar, gardening. I'm always up for practicing other languages: currently Spanish and French. Would love to work on German and/or Italian next.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Yoga instruction, French language, fun conversation and stories, language exchange, singing, and whatever fun experiences we can find.
