About Me

ABOUT ME

I have a zest for life! I can get really excited about the little things. I can get people excited too and my energy can be very contagious.

I think it's because I can appreciate the minute things that I have many interesting stories (good and bad) to share. Hey, life is about telling stories-it's either that or awkward silences.

I'm good at doing research and planning fun things to do. Here in California, I love showing out of towners and even locals around San Francisco! I have a knack for finding the best deal, information, articles...I love connecting people to resources and helping people. My friends have to create a separate folder for all the useful information I send them! I can also be spontaneous and like to wing it oftentimes, but I like to plan and do the legwork as well.

I think critically about social and environmental issues and about contributing to the world in a positive way. I'm an information junkie, like to keep myself informed and can talk about a good variety of topics. I don't mind a good debate or two either.

I love to dance, to just move. I've tried various types of dance like bhangra, reggaeton, ska, funk and can usually wing it. I won't say I'm the best dancer ever, but I'm a good person to drag to places because I'm pretty open to trying different types of dances.

Friends and lovers have said that I'm a very giving, loving and thoughtful person. I love surprising people-my surprises are usually really well thought out with the person in mind and can be quite long and complicated.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm not the most logical person-I tend to think with my heart. Whatever I feel like doing, usually depends on how I'm feeling.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've had amazing couchsurfing experiences-I love it! Now I'm giving back through hosting. I'm excited-an opportunity to host my own :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have friends that rave about their positive experiences through CouchSurfing-they were the ones who recommended the site to me.

One of my first CS experiences was when my then boyfriend, Alex and I used Couchsurfing to stay at this house in Lake Tahoe. We had an amazing time just chatting and getting to know everyone-the roommates of the house hosted over six Couchsurfers! There were people from different walks of life and it was fascinating hearing their stories and experiences and also sharing our own.

When I went to Argentina, I stayed with couchsurfer Romi and made friends there primarily through CS.

Interests

I enjoy being outdoors, bike rides, playing with dogs, fashion, dancing and food-A LOT (talking about and eating food)

  • fashion
