ABOUT ME
In fact, there are two of us: Kuba and his wife, Kasia (who's writing now).
Kuba is a sound designer, he loves films and listens to all sorts of music.
As to me, Kasia, I used to be a sound engineer, but now I'm an English teacher. Making my decision to change my profession, I followed my life-long passion for learning foreign languages. I teach Polish as a foreign language too. Couch surfing provides me with an appreciable opportunity to meet people from abroad, practice my languages and - above all - learn something about them, their lifestyles and culture of the countries they come from. You are always invited to our house, even if it's sometimes a bit crowded, as we've got three children - 9, 12 and 14 years old (very nice and polite).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We are back to CS after 2 year long break. Please - before sending a request read our profile carefully and if you feel that your age, interests or experience match ours, go ahead! Note that we are rather busy with work and kids and sometimes we can offer no more than a cosy place to sleep and an evening chat.
Interests
Movies (Haneke Bergman Zvyagintsev Lynch Cronenberg) / Music (psychedelic folk lo-fi alternative) / Books (Hrabal Roth McEwan Houellebecq) - these are mostly about Kuba.
And as to me, Kasia - I'm a keen long distance runner, training regularly and taking part in races. Besides, I love contemporary literature, but unfortunately I'm too busy to read as much, as I'd like to. The books that I have recently read and I'll remember for along time are: We Need to Talk About Kevin (Lionel Shrivers) Les Bienveillantes ( J. Littel), Hunger (Capparos). I'm into traditional music of Eastern Europe too.
We both like hiking in the mountains.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When we were younger we made a couple of journeys to the Middle East. We weren't aware then that those were not to be repeated ever.
Teach, Learn, Share
[Kasia] I'm a teacher and the process of teaching and learning is naturally a part of my interests. I believe in learning from person to person. The personal relation between the tutor and the disciple can't be replaced by anything. That is why I always appreciate the exchange of ideas and skills between us and our guests.
