Présentation
À propos de moi
CURRENT MISSION
Right now I'm working at Delta as a Global Sales Associate with their Mandarin Chinese line. In the future I'm hoping to build a career doing international business primarily with China. I'm busy using my flight benefits to see as much of the world as I can while I'm young.
ABOUT ME
Before I started college I was born and raised in Bismarck, North Dakota. My last year in high school I was an exchange student in Taiwan which changed my life and got me hooked on exploring the world. I haven't gotten the chance up until now, so I'm making up for lost time and looking to expand my horizons. Above all else I love to experience new places, challenge my beliefs, and meet people from all different backgrounds.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe in bringing people from different backgrounds and beliefs together is the bedrock of changing the world. The trick is giving everyone a shot to tell their story. Friendship knows no bounds.
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I haven't yet stayed at any place arranged through Couch Surfing, but I've definitely been hosted many times. The most exaggerated of these were the 6 host families I had in Taiwan where I stayed as long as 3 months in their houses. From there, I've traveled and been accommodated by great people from Ontario to New York to Minnesota to North Carolina to Delaware.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
I remember that passenger car jostling around cutting through the mountains of Taiwan. That particular journey I got the chance to speak at length with a traveling Buddhist monk. We spoke about her religious beliefs, devotions, sacrifices, values, and joys. She went into all kinds of details about finding a balance between purpose and obligation. In the middle of it I realized that for the first time I didn't need a lick of English to truly understand a stranger. This was the experience I had been looking for all year, and the whole year of pouring over Chinese books was worth just that one conversation.
Also, while on a sailboat in Minnesota one summer, I saw a vicious battle between a couple of Bald Eagles.
Enseignez, apprenez, partagez
I aspire to be an English as a Second Language teacher abroad someday soon. I feel like I'm a really good Chinese teacher and a good tutor in general.
I'm studying Political Science and I follow politics heavily and really enjoy talking about everything political with other open-minded people.
