ABOUT ME
Witty, charming and always bringing something to the cookout: oysters on the half shell (in KY!) crablegs, shrimp on skewers, etc. Always a good story to tell - clean jokes, limericks, funny stuff. He's the "old man" but you wouldn't know it - still a young 68. Water ski, jet ski, race boats, bikes and cars. The first to help clean up after the cookout, put the dishes away and bag up the paper and plastic. A great chef Boy-R-Dee too. Always welcome and a hit with the kids and the - - - dogs, duh.... They luv him, tails a wag'n.
Interests
What concerns me right now is the drought. I have made friends with Jean and Willard down the road who have a small farm and depend on that for their living. They work their butts off year round in the blazing heat (100 degrees and no rain for a month) trying to salvage their crop, but still pump enough water from their pond to keep the veggie stand going with tomatoes, squash, cukes and such. But the corn and beans are lost, and that's their main income. Tobacco is taking a serious hit too. Well, you asked. Kinda corny, but that's the way I feel.
SPEND MY TIME - Being semi-retired, I like to piddle in the garden (shrubs and flowers) and waste time on this computer, but enjoy emails from several 'buddies'. Research medical stuff for me and my folks (86 years old and still with us), cut my firewood and get it stacked and put up out of the elements in the shed. Fix leaks, repair little things that need fixin' around the old cabin - new roof and deck that tree limbs had finally took their toll. Golf when not too hot. Trips to the Gulf Coast to visit 3 brothers and the wives and kids and play golf and - yep! hit the casinos a coupla times, never over doing it - no more than 60 bucks gambled and then I usually wind up breaking even (true story), even after drinks and tips. Very frugal gambler! ! ! Other than that, after my morning walk of about a mile, I just keep busy keeping house, doing laundry and spending TOO much time on this machine ~ ~ ~

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Passing the Bar Exam. 7 years of college culminating in a career-identifying moment - either a lawyer or a car salesman, or whatever. That was the main one. Next, surviving a 120 mph boat crash that should have killed me. Happy to wake up in the ICU - alive with only a coupla broken bones. All else pales to those two. Oh, maybe winning a Supreme Court case that I spent 3 years working on. Then there were the 3 felony trials which I won, beating the hot-shot District Attorney who bragged he had never lost a case, heh heh :-)
