My name is Jimmy and I'm from Costa Rica.
I'm a Cloud Computing Engineer and I work in a software consultant company, I’ve been developing software since 2009.
Also, one of my favorites hobbies is to play chess with my friends (I was a chess player, during 13 years of my life) and I like to go out for mountain hiking at weekends.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing because I have had the experience of travel around the world and I know that sometimes find a place to sleep might be struggling. In order to help, I want to offer my home to anybody dealing with this kind of troubles.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've won a NASA hackathon building an artificial community to share knowledge regarding to trees and reforestation.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would like to share my personal experience related with two main topics: social and technological challenges nowadays. I've won a NASA hackathon building an artificial community to share knowledge related with trees and reforestation. Also, I've working with Costa Rican goverment to develop an app for mobile devices, to help people find the best solution for their homeless family. In this moment, I'm working with AI and Big-Data to face this problems with a new approach.
I was a volunteer in a ONG in my country for 6-years, and I have many stories to tell you.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Well, I'm a computer engineer and I'm from Costa Rica, so, I could help you with computers, electronic devices, web applications and big-data stuff. Also, I could bring to you some Costa Rican coffee (it's really delicious) and while we're drinking coffee, maybe we could play a chess game, talk about social challenges nowadays or share my knowledge about AI. In general, I like to talk and learn from others, so I'm a open-mind person.
