CURRENT MISSION

to realize that i am not that smart and will let my travel experiences make me smarter

ABOUT ME

I...

-was born and raised in the Philippines
-moved to Canada for a job opportunity in April 2009, and stayed here since
-work as a nurse but strongly thinks there is more to my job than staying in the hospital
-still feel blessed that i have my current job
-think I look older than my age
-think I think older than my age
-love to chronicle events using my pen, and/or my camera
-remember moments
-treasure human interactions/ relationships
-am in thirst of new environment and adventures
-find a sense of accomplishment if i get good flight and hotel deals (this also applies in shopping for clothes or groceries :p )
-find happiness in putting up a tent (talk about being shallow ;p)
-am left-handed
-am often mistaken as Chinese, or Vietnamese.
-love conversations, over cups of coffee or glasses of wine, or even without them
-love to laugh
-love the quote from the peaceful warrior : life has three aspects: paradox, humor, and change

PHILOSOPHY

when there is social pleasure, there is social responsibility. when there is a chance to enjoy the world, there is a choice to improve the world.

at the end of the day, i hold on to relationships- family and friends. i've seen people who were dying and who died alone. no one mourned. i don't want to die that way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

i didn't know about this social network til september 2012 when my boyfriend and i planned a trip to minneapolis. he mentioned couchsurfing and i found it interesting to try. we were accommodated warmly by a young couple (hi ryan and jamie :)). after listening to their couchsurfing stories and realizing that man's humanity to man still exists, i signed up to this site. i am really looking forward to having rich experiences through couch-surfing
