About Me

Hello!
I am Joana, a young traveler that is studying her Bachelor's degree in Barcelona. However, I am currently living in Sweden because I am on my exchange semester.
I am a very caring and easy-going person that enjoys being surrounded by friends and family.
I am a very active person. I love sports and nature. However, I also enjoy from time to time, to stay at home with a cozy blanket and watch a movie. I think chilling out is also very important!:)
I have two older sisters which I consider them as my two best friends. I consider myself very lucky for having them so close. I come from a large family so big groups or families don't scare me, I've been raised up in one of them.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe that it is a very interesting experience as it allows you to meet new people from around the world and for sure with a trait in common: the passion for traveling. Talking with friends who have already experienced couch surfing made me also want to join and try it out. It moves me to see how many people are willing to open their houses and host with such enthusiasm new travelers. I believe in this way of living so I feel I want to be a part of it.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy so much watching live music. I don't have a favorite band or song but I do prefer listening to folk, jazz or Catalan songs.

My favorite book, for now, is The Perfume! It is amazing how it is written. If you have some time to spare and don't know what to do and you like descriptive books, this is your opportunity to read this mindblowing book.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have lived in four different countries throughout my life and I'm looking forward to continuing traveling. They have shaped with no doubt the way I am now.
I can't really think of anything amazing. I guess that when I get to talk to the hosts' something will come up throughout the conversation that the host might feel amazed.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a leader in a leisure instructor at leisure entity in Barcelona. It is an organization for teenagers. We meet every week–leaders and kids–to do activities and talk about the current news and debate. Being with the kids is so gratifying and you can grow so much with them. Every summer and Easter break you take a trip and camp for around 10 days. They are amazing!

I'm not a fan of pets. It not that I don't like dogs and cats, it's just that I like them when they are not in my home. I actually find them very cute!

What I Can Share with Hosts

This is my first adventure traveling alone in different countries but I have been looking forward to this opportunity for quite a long time now. I was very scared at first but I decided I wanted to face my fears and believe in myself. So here I am now, looking out for new and interesting experiences.
