About Me
Hello
I'm a newbie to couch surfing. I am semi -retired, and have been travelling for over 30 years. I have never even thought to try couch surfing (only heard of it recently). Now I have many friends who have couch surfed across the world and have nothing but positive feedback. I am a mother of two beautiful children who are grown and moved out and are travelling the world. I would like to think I encouraged that sense of wonderment . I am happy, easy to get along with, always love a great conversation. Currently growing spiritual in my yoga practice and meditation. I enjoy volunteering and giving back to the community and the planet. And I am Neat and clean. I am looking to try couch surfing then hopefully become a host, my area is filled with neat wonders and lots of wineries
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe travelling is about wandering off the beaten path, finding hosts that can share their little treasure of the world is exactly what I am looking for. A genuine experience, connecting and sharing with others their culture, history, favourite restaurant, pub, hiking trail..... and so on. I have travelled to many places and have many interesting stories... don't forget to ask me about my Indiana Jones moment lol

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I find all my journeys offer their own sense of wonderment. Two of my favourites would be: 1. Hiking the 4 day Inca Trail to arrive at the Sun Temple of Machu Picchu as the sun was coming up. Spectacular!! 2. Hiking as a pilgrim across Spain ... Camino de Santiago. 765 kilometres over 31 days.... a true life altering experience. I highly recommend you add it to your bucket list. That is if you haven't already done it.
Teach, Learn, Share
Explore, learn, live, give back ..... volunteer, whenever possible
What I Can Share with Hosts
I would Love the opportunity to meet up, couch surf and chat about travel experiences, about life's journey and your path..... I have travelled some of Europe, South America, North America, many carribean Islands, Hawii, etc. I am funny, very easy to get along with, can be quiet or can be chatty... can easily fit into any group or situation. I love to help others and am always looking for ways to decrease my carbon footprint. And I do enjoy a nice glass of red wine.
