Hi,
I'm Joe. I have lived in northwest Montana, USA most of my life. I work as-needed as a registered nurse in the small local hospital and work as a photographer the rest of the time. I'm married to another nurse named Morgan. We have a couple of dogs, one of which we are training for search and rescue. I like to enjoy the outdoors through hiking/backpacking, mountain biking, rock climbing, and bird watching. We're pretty easygoing and do a lot of things spur-of-the-moment. We try to live a healthy, balanced lifestyle. Neither of us drink (though we're not offended if others do) and we rarely eat meat.

I'm a penny-pincher who really dislikes hotels, and I would like having more opportunities to travel. Also, my wife and I live in a beautiful corner of the world, so we are happy to return the favor and provide a place to sleep for someone else who may be passing through. I like the idea of a world-wide community of like-minded travelers, helping each other adventure.

Music depends a lot on mood and keeps me motivated around the house. I like most pop songs, country, folk, and sometimes religious music. I'm not really into metal or rap.
I read a lot of technical stuff- about photography or airplanes or whatever I'm feeling interested in. My wife likes occasional tame novels and books about animals or people having babies (she's an OB nurse). We both try to read the Bible every day.

I am happy to tell any visitors about some awesome, little-known locations for a photography experience. I will also let you know how to be safe in our wilderness areas. Depending on your desire to be involved, we're also always open to a new "victim" (pretend lost person) for our dog to find in his practice for Search and Rescue.
