About Me

Fascinated by the world around me, and enlivened by the adventure that comes with travel. I enjoy movement, hopping on a plane or a train, and seeing what's out there. Curious by nature. I've lived in a few places around the USA, and spent 4 months studying in England, and proceeded to get a job onboard a cruise line, sailing around various parts of the globe for almost a full year. I'm ready to go when it's time to see the sights, get some work done, or enjoy the night.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To join the community of travelers. I hope to connect with the local culture, whether native or expat. To meet like-minded people who wish to engage in cultural comparisons and learn and educate. If you have a place for me to stay, excellent. If not, it would still be my pleasure to meet you.

Interests

I studied philosophy, have interests in music, writing, and listening to a good story. I am a mediocre musician, though I am impressed by anyone talented in any art form - especially drawing and painting, of which I have no skill. Hoping to develop my photography skills. I enjoy sports more if there is a wager, but will settle for a beer come game time. In England I learned a tiny bit about parkour, and slightly more about Scotch.

Music, Movies, and Books

Mostly a hip hop fan, but typically not by radio standards. Brother Ali, Pharaoh Monche, Mac Miller, RA the Rugged Man, etc...I try to keep it diverse though, especially for the sake of musicianship. Kings of Leon, Blink182, Manchester Orchestra. I continue to read philosophical texts, but also enjoy travel books, and often something random and interesting. History, Classics, Skill-related. Mostly nonfiction, but you have to love To Kill a Mockingbird. Always looking for suggestions. Movies, it has to be a good story for me to sit through, not the same thing over and over.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Besides writing this much about myself...

Countries I’ve Lived In
