About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Self-sustaining living and farming. Learning and sharing what I have learned.
ABOUT ME
I think each of us have an opportunity to make our existence on this earth really matter, and I really want to do that. I love the natural world around us, I think we miss how awesome it is most of the time. I love biking, mountain and road. I have mostly done road trips, but I am getting into downhill as well. I enjoy reading. I live with my perfect match Sarah in an awesome house we are getting close to finishing. We live off grid, generate our own power from a hydro system as well as solar and wind.
PHILOSOPHY
I think we are put into our lives for a purpose, we have he ability to change the world for people all around us, and for ourselves as well. I think my biggest challenge for myself is to live in understanding. To understand how my choices and actions play out in my life and in the lives of people around me, as well as in this earth. We have the ability to create a perfection every day, we just need to learn how, or why, or something, that is what I am learning now.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I believe the best way for me to make a positive impact in this world is to rethink how we utilize our resources and make conceous choices
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I took a bike trip down the Oregon and California coast back in 2010, in December, and it was sort of cold and rainy. So anyway, the day I rode into San Francisco it was just dumping and cold, I didn't have anyplace to go, so I went to a laundry mat and dried out some of my stuff, just to keep out of the weather, anyway, long story short... I met a guy who knew these girls from his college who did couch surfing, so he gave me their number and I called them up and rode up to their house. That was it, I stayed two days, they took me in like one of their best friends, and that is when I decided if I ever had the opportunity to do that, at least on some level, for someone else, I totally would. That experience alone stands out in my bike trip as a true awakening, going from knowing no one at all in a whole city, to having a whole group of friends just an hour later.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Sitting way out on the rocks at South Point HI, and having a huge wave come and crash 100 feet up into the air just feet away. And that feeling when it first crashes... awesome.
