About Me
Hello all, I'm Joel, I'm 30 years old working as a line cook/prep chef at a recently opened restaurant in Chaska, MN. I don't do very much other than work so when I go on vacation I like to get out, do something new, meet new people, and just have a good time. I have an Associates degree from Dunwoody College of Technology in Architecture. I'm a simple person and am very easy to get along.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on couchsurfing because I like the alternative to the costly hotel where you are stuck in a room alone with no one to talk to. People generally stick to themselves, isn't the point to travel is to experience the culture of the area?

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to pretty much everything, but my favorite would be oldies. Like The Four Tops, The Supremes, The Temptations, etc. Also artists like Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, David Bowie, etc
I like to read mysteries and detective type books, fantasy, and adventure.
As for movies, I like the classics. But, I won't turn down a movie night. Lets pop some popcorn, sit back on the couch, and enjoy.
Hao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli films are amazing, they are a very imaginative talented group. I'd have to say something is wrong if any classic Disney movie (the ones animated by hand, not computer) doesn't interest a person.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am always willing to learn something new, I do want to learn Russian and possibly Japanese. I realize they are starkly different in structure and characters. 11 vowels in the Cyrillic alphabet!? Oh my, I've got my work cut out for me.
My knowledge is basically a smorgasbord of useless tidbits, although probably interesting or entertaining. I invite you to pick my brain, teach me something, and create memories.
