About Me
Hello everybody
I am Joël from Switzerland. I grow up in Thun the nicest city in the whole world ;)
Thun is the gate to swiss alps. At least that is what Swiss people say.
But currently I live in the black forrest. I work here as an entertainment coordinator in the hotel four season. After my London year is that a big contrast and I can focus on other qualities than in the biggest city in Europe.
I really enjoy the coutryside and silence.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like the idea of sharing a home, storys, experience and a lot more with other people from all over the world. I don't like this feeling of being a tourist then you have a clear image and you are separat from the other people. Couchsurfing gives me the possibilty to be intecrated much more and to participate more on daily life, even if it is only for two or three days. Usally host can give me advice what should I visit at this place. I am very gratful for this hints.

Music, Movies, and Books
I am a drummer and love all kind of music more or less. My favorite music style is Jazz. I go regularly to jams, jazz concerts and do street music. I love also classic music and go sometimes to classic concerts as well.
A couple of musicians I like very much: John Scofield Trio, Sam Mösching Trio and Michael Wollny Trio.
I am a Fantasy Lover and like the Storys of the Lord of the rings, Harry Potter and Eragon. I am very interested in education a read books from Arno, André Stern, Gerhald Hüter and Jesper Juul.
Books about real Oneness belong to my favourite one's as well. I like for instance Mooji's poitings.
I like this movies: Karate Kid, forbidden kingdom, invictis, goodbye bafana, the lord of the rings
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I would say I try to be myself and not doing something very special or extraordinary. I am interested to be a very ordinary person. But maybe that is something I can share with you. I do street music with a whole drum kit here in London. You can imagine that the transport is a Little bit difficult. I transport my drums on my back and hold my cymbals in my hand. I walk then from tubestation to tube station and from music place to music place. The whole drum kit weighs about 30 kg. Quiet heavy.
Teach, Learn, Share
I spend every day with children and the topic teaching and learning is an everyday topic in my life. For myself as well of course. I like to challenge me and expand my consciousness as much as possible. I think we shouldn't put learning just is School. Learning is something what happens in everyday life very natural. Just be simply present in here and now is enough and most effective way to life with you and other human beings.
Great inspirations about this attitude are Arno, André Stern and the brain explorer Gerald Hüter.
