About Me

Hey Everybody

My name is Nujoma Mesatywa but my friends call me Joey and I was born in the beautiful city of Cape Town in South Africa. My parents were involved in Politics and Education so I spent my early childhood traveling different parts of the globe learning new things, due to this influence I also enjoy travel and do work as Political Analyst while I complete my Masters in International Relations. I have lived in the USA, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait n many more countries, I am currently based in Ghana as I complete my studies. I consider myself a funny person and I enjoy Hip-Hop n watching sport over some cold beers and good food. I have interacted with various people from different cultures and I am hoping to continue that trend by joining this amazing community of people

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I actually tagged along to one of the CS events in Ghana and just enjoyed the whole experience and vibe. I enjoy meeting people who are well traveled, they create great conversations and also allows a person to broaden his/hers perspective regarding different things.

One thing I am proud about was when I first got my undergraduate degree, It was a special day with loved ones.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've been teaching English to people who come from underprivileged backgrounds. I have done this in South Africa in the region of the eastern cape and also in Accra Ghana where I am currently completing my studies. Sharing knowledge can make a big difference in someone life.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I come from a country with Amazing Wine and Biltong. I hope to share these treats with my hosts over a meal so we can socialize over a great conversation. If my host does not indulge in alcoholic beverages then I am always open to suggestions as people have different tastes. I also hope my host is free to show me around and enjoy lunch.
