About Me
Hello, I'm Johanna from Germany. I am about to finish my studies in mechanical engineering. I love Aachen and all the stories about this old city (I can tell a lot of those). And I love seeing new cities and landscapes. It's awesome how wonderful the world is and how many wonderful people are living in it.
It's not just about the city or the history, it's always also about the people, who are living there. This is, what makes experiences more precious and just more of everything.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I was thinking about joining couchsurfing for a while. One day, I decided to visit a couple of friends all over Europe, who are doing abroad semesters or traveling. Europe is so diversified in culture, landscape and cities and it is so easy just to go to another country, see a city, or just some landscape even just for a weekend, all of it is just not that far away. So I decided to see more of Europe on short trips. I loved having people around, who know a little bit of the area and I loved meeting all the people my friends got to know during their time abroad. I also want to show that our rather small town has got a lot to tell if someone speaks for it. It is a wonderful city full of stories and good pubs. More than enough reasons to check out couchsurfing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've been to New Zealand for a year and I did many amazing things there. Especially my road trip to the very North to Cape Reinga was awesome. I went with a friend and we actually wanted to take three days. But driving through the country, we recognized, that all the hostels were closed by the time we arrived. So we just went on, to the end of the island and slept in the car for three hours. When we woke up, the sun was shining and we had this whole wonderful place just for ourselves for a couple hours. One of the most wonderful things I've ever seen.
