CURRENT MISSION To spread good vibes. To travel around the world. To live and love. ABOUT ME I'm a Finnish girl who enjoys traveling around, living in different countries and exploring the world. After quitting my corporate job and selling everything I own, I spent 1,5 years backpacking in Asia and New Zealand. This journey has been life-changing for me (I know, it sounds like a cliche but it really has ;) and it also gave me the courage to start running my own freelance translation business. At the moment, I live in Prague with my lovely husband Jarkko and enjoy the life in this beautiful city. When travelling, I don't like to plan things too much but prefer to go with the flow. I'm pretty lazy at visiting museums and touristic sites. Instead, I'm eager to observe the local way of life, try new dishes and go to an underground pub or to a random concert. I have learned during my travels that the best things are normally those that happen unplanned and in random places. PHILOSOPHY "A journey is best measured in friends, rather than miles." "If your dreams do not scare you, they are not big enough.”

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I have faced so much hospitality through Couchsurfing during my travels and would like to pay this back as soon as I can start hosting again. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE Couchsurfing is a great way to travel and meet people! It has brought so many amazing experiences and people to my life. The best thing on Couchsurfing is when you get to know cool people and meet them later again in a different place. Some of the couchsurfers have even become my goods friends.
Music, Movies, and Books
Indie, rock, hip hop, reggae, heavy metal, electronic music - really a mix of everything! It always depends of my mood. We have lots of awesome music in Finland so if you are into Finnish music I can introduce you some nice bands.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
It's hard to name only one. I have... backpacked for 1,5 years hitchhiked in 7 countries motorbiked through Vietnam rolled in the snow after sauna and swam in an ice hole been on TV in Japan Looked into an active volcano crater
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you Finnish and tell weird things about Finland Did you know that Finland has the most heavy metal bands per capita and that Finns are the top coffee drinkers in the whole world? (And I'm definitely a good example of a stereotypical Finn when it comes to coffee...) I am a translator so I obviously like learning foreign languages. It would be great if you can teach me a few words from your language!
What I Can Share With Hosts
We can explore the city, party or just chat and have a coffee or a drink. I like cooking and trying new dishes so let's prepare something nice together!
My Interests
Crossfit, jogging, yoga, hiking, hanging out, second hand shops, coffee and beer, good food (well who doesn't like that?!). I enjoy going out and just having a good time.
