CURRENT MISSION
exploring life to its fullest.
ABOUT ME
Serial entrepreneur, a person who thrives in a challenging environment and is highly inventive and adaptable. I am concerned for the environment and try to be active in finding means to curb human direct inputs and contributions to climate change. I am a kind person and generous with my time for volunteering, particularly with the red cross. I was recently involved in hurricane sandy relief efforts for 7 weeks. A bit of a walking contradiction at times, in that I am a loner by nature, yet under the right conditions I thrive in a group situation and actively seek it. Strong environmentalist, yet have raced cars in the past. Friends used to and still give me grief on that. I am a very determined person with very strong inner drive to be the best person I can be. I am not competitive though and have never liked this direction of society and sports mania. I am very intelligent and love thought provoking subjects and the big picture.

Interests
Working out and fitness activities, of which I engage 5 times per week. Reading historical books and great fiction and non fiction. Wandering around to places i have not been before. Hiking in beautiful places and looking at the grand and miniscule aspects of those environs. Learning to dance, recently Tango and really immersing into the music, which intrigues me the more I really listen and absorb it. Watching foreign films and high quality cinema. The Hobbitt was wonderful. Listening to music, particularly the blues, but many more genre's too. Riding a crutch rocket in the warmer weather, I was out last evening on it, due to the extremely warm weather (it is snowing 8 hours later). Another contradiction! Meeting new people and engaging in deep conversation, I am not a chit chat kind of guy. I enjoy politics and am quite left wing. I thoroughly keep myself well informed with world issues outside of the US. I love research and looking at issues from many angles.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The first birth of an animal I observed and everyone since, particularly the umbilical cord throbbing and then suddenly the cells separate at a unique point. Seeing the cotyledon separate from the uterus, amazing.
Hearing every lyrebird's unique chorus of songs that I have had to wonderful opportunity to hear when in the Australian bush. It is truly a cherished never forgotten experience.
