About Me

Everyone has a story. Take the time to listen and you might learn something new. Don't live with blinders on as there is way too much to see and do in the time we have.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

So much to see, do and people to meet as the days fall through the hourglass of life.

Interests

Somewhere between running in the rain, watching sunsets, and polar bear plunging is where you will find me. Spent over a year managing the growhouse ( wheatgrass) at the Optimum Health Institute in San Diego. Also volunteered covering the garden. I am ideally located between New York City, Washington DC, Baltimore, Philadelphia, and Pittsburgh. Easy access to Dulles, Reagan, and Baltimore Inter'l Airport.

Music, Movies, and Books

Fandango - Kevin Costner's breakout role, Devil in the White City by Eric Larson - about Chicago World's Fair in 1893, Siberian Dawn by Jeffrey Taylor. Currently working on What Doesn't Kill Us by Scott Carney, David Gilmour, Enya, David Helpling, Coldplay, Lifehouse, The Highwaymen, Charlie Pride, 3 doors down, Grace Vanderwaal, Tom Petty and Julio Iglesias. Poem: "Do not go gentle into that good night. Rage, rage against the dying of the light," by Dylan Thomas. Recently read "The Running Saga of Walter Stack," by Bob Bishop.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Running through Manhattan dressed as a mattress on New Years Eve. My entire body was numb, but laughs and smiles kept me warm.

Teach, Learn, Share

While I may not be expert, I have incredible varied interests. How many people grow their own wheatgrass, have attended over 150 world class concerts, survived a plane crash, and consider a bidet one of the wonders of the world? I think listening is a quality that is all too often lost in today's hectic world. We all have stories to tell and happy, sad, or indifferent which add to the fabric of our lives if we just take the time. Goal is to become your typical truck driving, growhouse managing, travel Registered Nurse.

What I Can Share with Hosts

If one is looking for interaction with North America, I have visited all 50 American States ,every Canadian Province and border towns of Mexico. I would love to share the wonders I have found in North American Travels.

Over the last few years, I have been rather delinquent with couchsurfing. I am hoping to change that. I have recently been updating my home to allow for better guest experience. Look forward to guests. I need to work on checking my messages more often so as not to miss helping fellow couchsurfers.

Integrity, big smile, and a new perspective on this thing called life. Always up for odd and interesting adventure partner or lazy afternoon strolling in a park or sipping lemonade somewhere passing the time people watching.
I have passion for trying new things and meeting new people.

Interesting thought on Integrity - " Integrity is one of several paths. It distinguishes itself from the others because it is the right path,
and the only one upon which you will never get lost. " - M.H. Mckee
