I'm a private person living in a very big city. So when I'm out of this place I don't like to spend time in big cities and big companies (except sport events and concerts). I like nature and wildlife. For my trips I always choose non-trivial destinations to find something new. And in this case locals can provide with knowledge which you cannot get anywhere else.
