About Me
I'm a creative professional mostly working in photography. www.johnsharpimages.com. Empty nester and father of two boys in their twenties. Enjoy guitar, swimming, golf, tennis, music, conversations.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Love meeting new people... Like to travel to a new place and have a low cost safe place to land and explore with help of friendly local people. My wife Lori and I have enjoyed hosting international students from Korea, Japan and Columbia. Enjoy travelling and reaching out and meeting new people. Can offer couch or double bed in quiet private studio. Had many positive experiences of hospitality before hearing of couchsurfing.com so seems like a good fit.
Interests
I enjoy learning and believe I can learn something from anyone. I'm learning to reach out and enjoy learning from people with a different perspective on life than my own.....and my current journey is learning contemplation, ...and how to better understand myself and others.

Music, Movies, and Books
Blues, and folk music are my favourites. Documentary films, Books on arts culture, and spiritual growth and contemplation.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once drove a Honda Civic with a friend from Toronto to San Salvador and back. We had friends there to visit who ran an orphanage.
Teach, Learn, Share
I do like to share what I've learned on my journey in life and also learn from others. Mostly learning to live in the moment with gratitude and see love in everyone and everything...embracing the mystery and paradoxes.
What I Can Share with Hosts
We like the slogan: keep it simple. Enjoy sharing meals and can treat hosts to a meal out on me either breakfasts or dinners
