CURRENT MISSION Enhance my life, and the lives of others. ABOUT ME I was born an American, and still am one. I am a citizen, but that is not what I mean. Citizenship allows you to call yourself American, but to truly be American means to be tolerant, to be hospitable, and to be tolerant of all races, creeds, and lifestyles. I have spent the greatest portion of my life living in countries such as Yemen, Oman, Lebanon, and Switzerland. The last six years I have lived in this small city in the Texas panhandle, and I have missed life outside of these United States more than I thought I could. The experience is what I miss. Being somewhere foreign and exotic and breathtaking! There is nothing like it. Canyon, Texas, may be home to me, but it may be every bit so breathtaking as Zurich. I love it here. In aspects of my personality, I am quiet, but amiable. Do not take that to mean I am shy. I am simply thoughtful. I am clean, respectful, peaceful, and able to cut loose and have a good time. I know my city. I know the people, the places, the sight, sounds, smells. I will not say that everyone out there should see the Texas panhandle before they die, but if they would like to, I would love to show it to them. I've been told I am a pretty good cook too.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I would love to spend time traveling, but am unable to. I will host, though. I will enjoy hosting, I think. I have plenty of room, and will do my best to ensure that my couch-surfing buddies have a good experience. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE I have no real couch-surfing experience. I have spent time traveling, but I have, up to now, stayed in hotels. There was a week, however, when I lived in my friends' apartment while they were out of town.
My Interests
I enjoy music very much. I listen to it. I write it. I play it. I sing in the shower. I know the music scene in Amarillo quite well. I enjoy sports of all forms (Nascar excluded). I greatly prefer to play sports, rather than watch them, but regularly attend sporting events. I dont know what else to list. I love the arts. I have seen the Amarillo symphony perform, as well as many operas, operettas, and plays performed by local and touring groups. I enjoy most of them, though I have little experience with such things.
