About Me

ABOUT ME

From England and have been living in China for a number of years now teaching anthropology and working for North Korea specialists Young Pioneer Tours

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I first surfed in Japan in 2014 and had a couple of amazing hosts, then began hosting in Xi'an which has allowed me to meet numerous interesting people passing through. CS is best when you hang out with your host but i'm happy to put people up who just need a place to crash for a night too, and i've found that staying with locals and knowledgable expats alike offer a great introduction to whichever place you're in.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Going to North Korea with Young Pioneer Tours was pretty amazing, motorbiking from Hanoi to Luang Prabang without any experience too, but the craziest was travelling through Nepal during the three week long general strike which eventually brought down the monarchy, ending up in the Maoist heartland of Rolpa.
