About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Develop immaculate loitering skills

ABOUT ME

I'm an average nice guy. Enjoy meeting new people and talking. I am especially fond of long breakfasts, lunch, good conversations, naps, hikes, paragliding, traveling, and generally having fun.

PHILOSOPHY

If you come to a fork in the road of life, you better take it. You never know when you will need a fork.
-Yogi Berra

I guess not really my personal philosophy, but certainly an aspect of it. I have been blessed by taking advantage of the opportunities that have come my way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My couch is available. I'm sure there will come a time in the future where I will need someone else's couch.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When I was 16 I hiked the Long Trail, a 270 mile trail that runs from the length of Vermont. I picked up a food package in Jonesville. It was late in the evening and I didn't really want to hike the next several miles to the nearest campsite, so I asked a stranger if he knew of any barn where I might be able to crash for the night. He invited me into his house to spend the night with his family. I very much enjoyed his hospitality and the company of him and his family.
