About Me

As a guest or host, I am as terrific as anyone you will find. I am quiet, neat, and responsible. I take good care of the things I have and believe in respecting people and property. No smoking or drugs for me, but I can be coaxed into a drink or two once in a while. I am easygoing and athletic, and I was an excellent student. I now own my own business selling Lego toys online.

- I'm half Slovak, quarter Romanian, and quarter Croatian. I've visited the Slovak family a couple times, and Romania and Croatia are on the radar. So is Alaska. And Iceland!
- Climbing trees, building forts, and jumping on hotel beds are things that have always been alright by me.
- Inexplicably I throw overhand lefty and underhand righty.
- As a mechanical engineering student, I took a flower arranging class as an elective.
- I have learned to appreciate the excellence in anything that anyone - friend or foe - does excellently ever.
- Sometimes you have to touch the fire to know that it is hot.

Interests

Much of my time is spent playing or coaching baseball, buying or selling Legos, and writing and giving English lessons. Other interests include health and fitness, road trips, all things math and science, languages, and occasionally hunting down '70s vintage furniture and household items!

...proofreading, dry humor, spinach, the color blue, crosswords, pictures from the '90s, carrot juice, songwriting, Pictionary, movies in which people use landline phones, people watching, Street Fighter, Tetris, full-size SUVs, pictures from the '80s...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Earned an invitation to pitch in a professional spring training despite never having played little league, high school, or college baseball.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teaching English in Slovakia motivated me to write a book of English lessons that targets the deficiencies of Slavic students. Wonder why you have to repeat your order five times at Starbucks? Wonder why you require subtitles during TV shows after ten years of studying English? I can tell you! Someone in my company could also learn how to throw a curveball or how to play blackjack for real.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, Italy, Monaco, Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, United States, Vatican City State

Countries I’ve Lived In

Slovakia, United States
