Professionally I am a tour guide, photographer and translator. I run the travel blog Johnnybajdzjan on Wp and Johnnybaijan on Fb. My work also includes proof reading, language consulting and I also write myself. Since I freelance, I normally work from home.

My master thesis however is in Russian cultural history and how the ancient artform of mosaic was used as means of creating a political, pictorial language in the Soviet Union.

I enjoy traveling the world, having visited both the USA and North Korea and countries in between. Most time abroad however, I have spent on various occasions in Russia. By now, I have visited 100+ countries and territories.

In Stockholm, I have an interest in food, from traditional Scandinavian cooking to Korean cuisine and I enjoy making fruitwine and fermenting vegetables. I am trying to improve my skills on piano, and once upon a time, I used to take song lessons.
