About Me

Currently I'm a software engineer at a technology startup in NYC. I love working in the internet/technology industry. Eventually I'd like to found my own company, so what I find most exciting about my job is the opportunity to learn first hand what it takes to build a business from the ground up.

I was born and raised in Long Island, New York, however my entire family is Colombian so I grew up with Spanish as my first language.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet cool people. When traveling I want to immerse myself in the culture and experience the country through the eyes of the locals.

Interests

I really enjoy getting to meet and vibe with new people. I enjoy going out. On the weekends I am a creature of the night.

1.) Netflix

4.) Red wine
5.) NY Jets

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Think and Grow Rich, The Giver, Atlas Shrugged, The Alchemist

Movies: Documentaries, Boyhood, District 9, Troy, Tristan & Isolde, Memento, Match Point, Vicky Christina Barcelona, Toy Story, Dazed & Confused, Before Sunrise, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Bad Santa, Knocked Up.

Shows: Shark Tank, Treehouse Masters, House of Cards, Game of Thrones, Homeland, Shameless, Breaking Bad, Silicon Valley, How I Met Your Mother, Impractical Jokers.

Music: I'll honestly listen to anything. I think that every genre has its great artists. You just need to be introduced to the right stuff. I used to HATE country until someone showed me Zach Brown's "Chicken Fried". Such a great, feel good, all American song. I grew up listening to Hip Hop though. I'm a big fan of Jay-Z, Cudi, Nas, Eminem & Fashawn.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I visited Monteverde, Costa Rica I leaped off the highest bunjee jump in Central America (143 meters/469 feet high).
