About Me

Hey, I am a Peace Corp volunteer from Puerto Rico who is currently serving in Machala, Ecuador. I love traveling and meeting new people and cultures wherever I go. When I travel the experience is what matters. You guys can call me Yoni. Also, take into account I am gay, just in case that bothers you. I do not bite tho, I am a pretty good person.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like meeting new peoples and I think this in an excellent way of doing it. I like moving around. I think this can be the best way to actually meet the cities that I visit and meet great people. Y pues, hay que vivir la vida.

Interests

Many, I love traveling and meeting new places. Im a bad dancer, however, im good at scuba diving and im trying to learn how to surf. I love the sea and the mountains, maybe because I live in a very mountainous island in the Caribbean.

Music, Movies, and Books

Way too many movies and series, from action, comedy, horror, fantasy, indy. Im reading a few books right now, mostly about education, history and GoT. I love all kind of music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Burned my feets while I was walking in Petra.

Met a friendly shark while scuba diving in Culebra, Puerto Rico.

Got lost in Cuba.

Drove over 10 hours with friends (nonstop) in upstate New York and Ontario.

I constantly get lost while driving in the Puertorican mountain system.

I have been in like 20 countries.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you guys some spanish. I can also talk about Puerto Rican culture and other hispanic and latino countries and how funny is to live in the Caribbean. We can also cook and hang out. I did my bachelor's in anthropology and my masters in culture of peace, education and international development.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would be cool to have some cultural exchange and just to meet new people. I can also cook with you guys.
