About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I'm currently looking for an host to spend a week or so with my girlfriend and daugther (4 years old), in France or near countries. My main objective: find a family host having a child to give a small friend to my daughter. And spending some time all together chilling and discovering new places.
ABOUT ME
I'm a web developer, so yes, I like geeky stuff, such as video games, science fiction, electronics, and all these kind of stuff. But not geeky enough to stay the whole days in front of my computer screen. Especially as I got the opportunity to work from all around the globe, being a fully remote worker.
As a side note: I'm in couple and have a 4 years old daughter.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Of course, hosting some people travelling by Nancy. I'm also willing to guide my guests through the city, making them discover some interesting places (which are not always the most touristic ones).
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I already hosted several couchsurfers and took part in some local events. Always great experiences. :)
Interests
I am quite curious, and like discovering whole new stuff. For instance, I'm currently learning playing poker, and starting Arabic language. Until I got a correct level in these stuff and find new center of interests.
I'm also a fan of geocaching. That's a good way to discover some places. Even if I would be really glad to have local host guiding me through their neighborhood. :)

Music, Movies, and Books
I love world music and jazz. Hence, here are a few artists I really like:
* John Coltrane
* Nina Simones
* Idir
* Souad Massi
* Rokia Traoré
* Lenia Chemamian
I'm also listening for electro music, but no specific artists in my mind (thanks Spotify recommendations for that!).
I read essentially science-fiction books, and a few fantastic ones. Last memorable books I read I can remember of are "Ready Player One" (book was better than the movie IMO), "A fall of Moondust" (by Clarke), and "La Nuit des Temps" from Barjavel. I also like Stephen King and Werber as writers.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
That's kind of a dual extraordinary adventure, both positive and negative. That was in the Baleares island. We made some diving (that was my first time).
That was at the same time exciting and frightening. Especially the part when you are on the shallow with heavy bottles on your back, and a wavy sea, trying to stabilize as best as you can. Quite paradisiac sea shore: some cliffs, a blue sea, a sunny weather.
Then, when we went underwater, that was really sad. So much pollution everywhere: plastic bags, lost bottles, a ton of other human stuff... We were hardly able to swim without touching any of these trashes. Poor planet.
Then we continued, and arrived at some caves, above sea level. We visiting this magical place, fruit of several of thousands of years of natural events. That was a really cool and almost mystic moment. Really loved that!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can learn some computer stuff (from learning to program to fixing printers), I can cook for you (I'm not a "chef" but I can handle some meals), and probably other stuff I don't think of at the moment.
I'm always willing to learn new stuff. Even if I'm not kind of manual guy (don't ask me to lead a boat repair for instance), I would be glad to assist you if you explain it to me. :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'd like to share some discussions, meals, guided tours, whatever we want. And, if thing goes well, why not building a long time friendship.
Having a 4 years old daugther, I would also be glad finding a family with a child. One of the main issue when going on holidays is indeed finding some children with whom my daughter would be able to play. Going on vacations is good memories for her, but spending this time with another child of her age would be even better!
