About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I want to get to know the people of the world

ABOUT ME

I'm a video game programmer from San Francisco. My head's in the clouds and usually dreaming of traveling around the world, or to other worlds :)My dream is to some day make educational software for kids.

PHILOSOPHY

Love unconditionally and good things will come to you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'd like to meet new people, learn about the world, and have a fun time in my travels.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've always led a pretty busy life focusing on my career, and my ability to travel has always suffered from it. In the meantime I've hosted a bunch of friends at my place and the experiences have always been a breath of fresh air in my life just when I needed it, it seems. I think it would be fun and unique to extend this to like-minded strangers and hopefully meet some new people and experience some amazing life experiences.

Interests

Making music, listening to music, video game programming, learning, wine, philosophy, theoretical physics, spirituality, photography, abstract art, gimme a week to think about it and I could make a list tenfold.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I bought a ticket to Burning Man this year but could not go. Right around then the festival sold out suddenly and people were scalping tickets for thousands of dollars. Instead of partaking in that, I decided to post on Craigslist that I would trade my Burning Man ticket for a single piece of art, and that the catch was the artist had to be the one who used the ticket. I was approached by 60+ artists who sent me examples of their work, and got to hear a bunch of amazing stories! All in all it was worth far more than the price I'd have gotten my selling it. Making money isn't the only way to profit in life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a deist, meaning I believe in a creator but I do not subscribe to any dogmatic religion. I think that the world is an amazing place, and the fact I'm here to write this and you are hear to read this, right now in these moments, is so incredibly rare that I believe it is impossible that we are here by chance. It's rare enough for life to exist on a planet, but it's even more rare for things to fall into place in just the right way over millions of years, for us to evolve from primates to humans, and be given the unique ability to sit here and contemplate and appreciate the world around us. It's a shared experience and we should all be really grateful to be here in the now.
