We are a couple in our 30's (Joni and Kevin). We've been best friends since 8th grade, so you know the vibes are right! We're currently starting our family, so for now, it's just the two of us. I'm a Mental Health Counselor with a passion for creative arts (photography, interior design, and dancing) and all-things consciousness. Kevin is a Software Engineering manager with a love for philosophy, history, and trail running. We are both appreciators of culture and human connection in general! We love learning and being outside! On the weekends, you can find us watering our plants, exploring the beautiful mountains of southern Utah, or spending time with family.

Music, Movies, and Books
My taste is all over the map! I have tons of playlists on Spotify, and I love an excuse to share them or make a new one. I tend to gravitate to anything soulful. Right now, Vapor Soul is my go-to genre, but I like anything with heart (indie, folk, rock, punk, country, edm, pop, and especially genre cross-overs). For movies, I love comedy or thought-provoking. Juno has always been one of my favorites! For Books, I read a lot of academia, memoir, historical fiction, or psychology. Kevin's favorite artist at the moment is Gorillaz. He's been taking an interest in rap, rock, and edm. He tends to pick the movie, and they're always incredible. Some recent media recommendations: Rear Window, Reds, Shogun (we're currently listening to the book together), A Clockwork Orange, Stardust. He's often watching something historical or listening to a podcast about something cultural or scientific.

We were both born and raised in a cult, so it's amazing that we're here! We are among the few who have left and earned higher education degrees.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach about anything psychology/mental health related. I love the realm of our inner worlds. I'm very curious to learn about personal stories. Kevin can teach about most of the sciences: geography, geology, biology, chemistry, computer science, economics, literature, and history. He's a very open-minded and socially curious person. We'd both love to spend enough time with a stranger to feel like friends.

Let us contribute to your home! I love cooking, and I've heard that my cookies are pretty spectacular. We're also happy to help clean, do yard work, or help with your plants :) However we can add to your atmosphere, we're willing!
