Overview
About Me
I am currently putting a lot of thought into who I want to be and what I want to do with myself, so it's very important for me to go out into the world and meet as many people as possible (and steal all the best parts of their personality for myself!).
Otherwise, I'm very laid back. Though I tend to go slightly crazy when I can't find anything to do, and I've never said no to a drinking competition (and never won one either), so its a kind of "laid back" compatible with techno, ridiculously elaborate meals and writing mournful blues songs about Brexit. I blame philosophy: it has made life so beautiful but hasn't half turned me into a hedonist.
Recently I've been trying to illustrate my dreams, but that's neither here nor there.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have lived in open houses all my adult life, so I'm used to sharing space, spontaneous experiences and intense three-day friendships. More of the same, with new people in new places, can only ever be a good thing.
Interests
Broad. I tend to live very differently in different places. I've done the whole week-long-rave hedonism thing before, but elsewhere I can be very studious and quite monk-like. Right now (in Budapest) I tend to get very excited about wine and food...
But in general: writing, music, food, nature, philosophy, cycling downhill, simple living, scattered hedonism, meeting new people

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm very easy to please culturally. I tend to lean towards more experimental stuff, but don't shut myself off from the rest. Minimal music is good, but so is big band jazz and old-school Grime. Movies range from French new wave to the American greats (Mallick, Kubrick, Coppola etc.), kung-fu, sci-fi b-movies, animation and general trash (to an extent...).
I'm mostly reading non-fiction these days, and usually philosophy.
