ABOUT ME

I grew up 10 minutes outside of a town of 1000 people in rural southern Ontario. I've put on my backpack and travelled extensively, throwing myself headlong into adventure and new cultures. I work in a cube, in short bursts, to save money for adventure. Check my blog for samples of the way I live-travel-write! I'm a fun loving free-spirit that loves music, nature, but I also have an analytical side to me that comes in handy from time to time :) (and a degree in computer science).

PHILOSOPHY

It seems to be inevitable that we're going to die, so why not fill our time with things that we enjoy?

I signed up for CS a few years ago, but haven't participated until now. I haven't had a couch for people to surf on since I signed up, but when I do, I look forward to hosting... it seems like a great way to meet interesting and worldly folk!

Books: Right now I'm reading "The First Word", a book on the origin of language and the evolution of it's study.
Movies: I'm watching Season 5 of Lost
Music: Wintersleep has been on my brain for the last while, and I've been learning some of their tunes on the guitar.
