I am currently studying for a Masters in Linguistics. The accommodation available is a cottage near Keswick which belongs to my family. I am single with two grown up children, a girl 23 and son 21. I was born in Keswick and have always maintained my roots here. The Lake District and all it has to offer will always be in my soul. I am a Protestant Christian and enjoy attending several churches in the area, although not every Sunday.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Having lived overseas more than once in my life, I appreciate how useful it is to meet local residents in the area which I am visiting when time is limited. I also love to make new friends with people from other parts of the world and, as I am planning to teach in China and other parts of Asia, visitors from that part of the world are particularly welcome. I am proud of what the Lake District has to offer and love to share it with new visitors.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have one bedroom with 2 single beds and you will have use of your own toilet and basin. I am willing to provide transport including picking you up from Penrith (1/2 hour) or Oxenholme (1 hour) railway stations. Since these stations are a distance from my home, a small contribution to the petrol would be appreciated. (This can be discussed). I am willing to share my love and knowledge of the Lake District and UK and exchange views on your country.
