Taste in books ranges from Soviet sci-fi a la Strugatskys to colonialist critique a la Frantz Fanon. With everything in between.

In all seriousness, I'd have to say sleeping under the open sky in Death Valley in the US or Wadi Rum in Jordan. I'm a sucker for starlit nights, off-the-grid style. Corny, but tru.
