CURRENT MISSION
serene nature city escapism
ABOUT ME
I currently live in Brooklyn, where I grew up, and work at a non-profit. I love to travel, and have lived in El Salvador and Argentina. Vermont is also a second home to me - I went to college there, and used to be in a youth circus based there. I still practice aerial arts when I get the chance, and love to write as well. Though I've woofed before, I'm new to couch surfers. I love the constant activity of the city, especially all the music and performing arts, but would like to start leaving on weekends more often, to have some calmer time in nature. I also recently produced a play I wrote that incorporated aerial arts into the plot. An exciting experience, and I hope to write and produce more plays.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am new to couch surfing, so I have not yet participated, but have heard wonderful things from my younger brother and his girlfriend. I am going to Ireland soon for a wedding (one of my best friends is marrying an Irish man she met studying abroad), and during the days before the wedding would like to explore Ireland, and part of that is getting to know people there! Also, right now I'm working on some writing and it's hard to get done in the hectic city environment. I'm looking for a more natural setting where I can spend a day or two just writing, looking out the window at trees, etc. I'm friendly, and very happy to hang out for a bit, but above all I'm hoping for some serene introspective time.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm new to this, but my brother just returned from a 5 month long road trip and is an avid couch surfer! In El Salvador, where I worked at a community development NGO, I worked with a filmmaker who was a couchsurfer, and through him I became friends with his host and his host's whole friendship group. So it really opened up doors to a community there.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was younger I was in a traveling youth circus with performers from all over the world - Russia, Mongolia, China. We traveled around New England, from town to town. There were too many moments to recount, but the experience as a whole is one of the most amazing things I've been a part of.
Also, watching the sunset atop Petra, Jordan with two close friends from high school, drinking tea with two Bedouins we met there was beautiful and memorable.
