About Me

Hi everyone!

I am a girl who loves to travel because I love learning and meeting new people. I just started my PhD in Washington DC (I have been waiting to live here my entire life!) and am so excited that I get to be a kid with summer and winter break for another five years (which gives me lots of time to travel!)

I study International Relations, specifically the Middle East, but my interests are much greater than that. Psychology, history, religion, health, the environment, food sustainability, food, veganism, mediation, and politics all get me going. I like surrounding myself with people who are constantly challenging my opinions, teaching me new things, and forcing me to grow.

My favorite ways to spend my time are composing music, singing, dancing, hiking, sailing, and most importantly--TRAVELING :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am so grateful for every opportunity I get to see a new piece of the world and would love to give other people that same opportunity.

I never stay in hotels when I travel--I feel like it isolates me from actually being in the country. I usually stay with friends, in hostels, or do workaways, but couch surfing is new for me! I always meet the best people while traveling, so I hope that couch surfing gives me even more opportunities to meet cool people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I worked in a small restaurant in a town with a population of 200 in France this past summer. I ate like a queen every day and got away from civilization for a while. My cooking and french improved immensely and I developed a whole new appreciation for living out in the country, in the middle of nowhere.
