hello world
my name is jos and by the age of 10 i wanted to be a truckdriver so i became one
by the age of 16 i left school and climbed in a truck
it took me all over europe for 24 years
on my holydays i went out again with my land rover
my travelingsdays by truck are over now but i still like to travel by my land rover and meet people so this couchsurfing thing is really something for me
i,m very back to basic and i belief in live the way it was ment to be [we have almost a discussion here already and that,s what i like ; listning open minded and respect]
i love nature and how we deal with it is another story
same goes for food and industries and i,m sure i,m not alone in this so please to meet you
also understanding respect and religions is something people will forget sometimes and yes i.m a believer
well anyway i like the simple things in live like music
i love music. i was listning to country&western when i was 10 [mostly truckdriving songs right] and those records are still here today togheter with many others
and you quested it i still own a recordplayer
so here is something about me

PHILOSOPHY

like i said i,ve learned live from live itself by traveling and talking to people
being open yourself to others will mostly lead to trust and i think that,s what couchsurfing is al about
i don,t think there are only bad people here in this world while the newspapers will tell you otherwise so lets prove it can be done together

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted Many CS in my cabin and it's great. only; I like CS to stay longer than just one night. I like to spend time with my guest, and cooking a meal together. I want to eat your stuff :-) , but you whan't the real "dutch stuff"':-( Always a problem aboud food :-( / :-)
Also; Amsterdam is not Holland, like Paris is not France.
I'm trying to get CS out of Amsterdam by telling them aboud the famous windmills and the flower fields, and I'm proud of that, but they just don't listing.
So, CS is OK, but it's not a free hotel.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

couchsurfing is new for me but i,ve met many people when i was a truckdriver and i,ve never had a problem in those last 24 years and some will remember me still
[don,t get me wrong here]

Interests

i.m interested in the problems of our world and how other people think about it and what they like to do about it
if this is a little to heavy for you well

for movies well i was [still am] a big fan of; a little house on the prairie so the love comes softly movies [8 movies by jannete oke] are also favorite
best still i.ve seen [read xxxtimes] is;

yep all western movies without shooting!!!
also the catherine cookson movies [english drama]

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

i remember how i was trying to learn the russian language by fighering out the roadsigns in Bulgaria when i was there with my truck
yep only the lonely by my self and yes i was lost
i had some figures on a paper and i was proud that i had came that far when a lady tapped me on my shoulder and asked me if she could help
i told her that i was trying to understand the russian language and showed her my findings on the paper
i think the whole world must have heard her laughing
well, she wrote it all down on that paper from a to z and there i got it; the complete russian alfabet on paper. the roadsigns where no longer a mistery to me and a whole new world opent up for me
i still have that piece of paper till this day
