About Me

At the start of 2018 a friend of mine invited me to go Japan with him in the summer. At first i was hesitant but i looked into travelling and going abroad and it sparked my interest and open my eyes to not only japan but to the whole world. I think about travelling all the time now, i can't seem to have any other thoughts. I'm still young and only getting started.

I was on a six month European tour which took me all over Scandinavia and central Europe. I spent the first three months hostel hopping where i met many cool people and fellow travellers . The last 3 months were spent volunteering, at a campsite during Oktoberfest in Munich, renovating an old train station in Czech and helping out at a hostel in Zagreb. I've done and seen numerous things and volunteering has by far been the most enjoyable part of my trip.

I've spent a lot of my life dreaming of what this whole wide world has to offer, now that I'm old enough its time i reached out and grabbed it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've spent most of my time travelling alone, i feel its time now to push my comfort zone and meet more locals, learn more skills and just overall have a good time. And i feel couch surfing is a good place to start.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm into many genres of music mainly 80s 90s 00s rock. My Current favourite artist isTwenty One Pilots.

My all time favourite Films are The Shawshank Redemption, Fight Club, Into the Wild, Swiss Army Man and basically anything by Quentin Tarantino.

A few of my favourite books are On the road, Dharma Bums both by Jack Kerouac, Vagabonding by Rolf Potts and Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent a week on a road trip around the Lofoten islands in Norway with a German girl I met in a Facebook group. We met some people in a hostel and went on a hike to see the midnight sun. The clouds were really low, it was raining and we didn't actually see the midnight sun but it didn't matter the companionship was what really mattered.

I also took a pirate to the hospital.

Teach, Learn, Share

Recently I've been really interested in music. I'm currently an novice guitar player with around two years of experience, I've messed around with a Ukulele on a handful of occasions. If you too are a musician we can have jam sessions and you can teach me new techniques and such. Id like to learn the Piano and perhaps even to sing. Id love to learn to cook, its a super useful skill i should definitely learn. I really want to kick start my language learning, I've wanted to be bilingual ever since i found out that basically everyone in Europe speaks two or more languages. Being a native English speaker is both a blessing and a curse. I also dabble in photography but i desire to be better.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share with you my trials and tribulations of my time on the road. If you're into music we can jam or perhaps share each others knowledge on this type of stuff.
