Hello, hello!

I'm Jo. In short, I'm just a weirdo. I'm a burgeoning physicist (BS, heading for the PhD). I walk all over on my hands, climb things, and you'll likely catch me walking like a fool when you're not looking.

I don't really like shoes, so I'll often be creeping about barefoot. I really enjoy putting my feet on things and feeling their texture. If I wear shoes for too long, I'll probably get sad.

I love smelling and tasting things, climbing, Parkour, my pathetic renditions of Tai Chi and Yoga, and generally all things about moving.

I enjoy doing new things and learning all about whatever other people enjoy (and of course usurping their hobbies when I like them), and I love to travel and see all sorts of things. I'm not very good at it, but I love to just mess around with a guitar. Listening to other people play is great, too!

If you drop by, I can offer some alright food and decent company.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To travel, maybe meet some interesting surfers, and generally just expand my horizons. I'll get better at people things if I just do lots of them!

Interests

I was born a boulderer, but I'm slowly expanding to ropes! My body and mind lie with the boulders, but my heart and soul lie in the high hills of multipitch and alpine climbing. I'm looking to get into some real alpine mountaineering and climbing.

Solid enough sport leader to 5.11b (6c). Hang dog/project to 5.12c/d (7b+-7c).

Comfortable trad leader to 5.9 (5b-5c). Project to 5.10c (6a-6a+).

Boulder V7 (7a+-7b). Looking for the V8 (7b-7b+) project.

My Yoga practice is quite young. Anything you have to show me would be amazing!

My AcroYoga practice is even younger! My partner and I look like fools, and I love it!

Climbed Time Wave Zero with Ataman Billor and Foster Denney! 23 pitch sport multipitch climb in El Portrero Chico, Mexico topping out at 5.12a (7a+).

A nice conversation, maybe just some silent company. I love to converse, I'm horrendous at making conversation. Odd combo. I think the ability to sit comfortably in silence is valuable. Words don't have to fill every space.
